The Coke Project is a partnership with Coca-Cola distributor, Atlantic Bottling Company, and Drake University, in which marketing students conduct research and create innovative strategies and sample designs for a variety of Coca-Cola products.
In recent years, the project has shifted to include more sampling events, both on Drake's campus and throughout the Des Moines community. These sampling events are designed to provide Coca-Cola with real consumer insights on legacy products and new Coca-Cola innovations.
In my two years as Vice President of Projects and co-leader of the Coke Project, our team has distributed roughly 5,000 Coca-Cola products at events ranging from the Des Moines Streetstyle Open, a skateboarding competition with national pull, to Make-a-Wish holiday popups.
Below are video recaps of the Coke Project's largest on-campus sampling event, Dog Town After Hours (DTAH), from the three years I've been a part of the project and a member of Drake's chapter of the American Marketing Association (AMA).
